General Motors and Lenovo to Deliver Keynote Presentations at Lithium Battery Power Conference

Leading battery researchers from around the world to convene in Bethesda, MD to discuss advances in chemistry, materials and modeling of lithium-ion batteries

  

Needham, MA, August 15, 2016 – The Knowledge Foundation will hold its 12th Annual Lithium Battery Power conference from November 1-2, 2016 at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, MD. Lithium Battery Power spans two full days, and will cover topics such as applications & the market, diagnostics, modeling & simulation, materials fabrication & design, low temperature recharging, high-capacity cathodes, anode structures, and IP strategy & implementation.

 

This conference will feature two keynote presentations, taking place on Tuesday, November 1 and Wednesday, November 2. On Tuesday morning, Dr. K Raghunathan, Battery Systems Engineer at General Motors, will present on lithium-ion batteries for the automotive industry, delving deeper into the tools developed by GM for assessing advanced electrode materials and cell designs, as well as the challenges they've faced when implementing these battery technologies.

 

Wednesday's keynote will be presented by Jeremy Carlson, a battery technology engineer at Lenovo. Mr. Carlson's presentation will address how upcoming changes to the PC landscape, more specifically the intensive processing required by augmented reality/virtual reality, could change future battery requirements for PC devices.

 

Lithium Battery Power is followed by the Knowledge Foundation's 7th Annual Battery Safety conference, and together, will provide four full days of comprehensive battery discussions.
