High Temperature Li-Ion Batteries Through Thermally Stable Separators

Brian Morin, PhD, COO, Dreamweaver International, Inc.With recent fires in batteries for the Boeing Dreamliner and Tesla S, thermal stability in lithium ion batteries is of primary concern. In this talk, Dr. Morin will present batteries made using a separator that is stable up to 300 C, and also stable through significant fire events, and show the additional safety that can be achieved in batteries using these separators.
